about IT & km 2008

The theme of the 1st International Conference on Information Technology and Knowledge Management (IT&KM 2008) is to further enhance and promote the research culture within the academic institutions and breaking down the functional barriers between the organizations and academia through our outreaching research activities. Such event will provide a venue for observations, discussions, collaborations and sharing of knowledge among researchers.

The IT&KM 2008 is aimed at practitioners and researchers involved in state-of-the-art research and development activities. It will also provide a platform for young researchers to further grow and set future research directions. Along with the normal presentations, the conference will provide opportunity for researchers to attend workshops specially designed with advanced themes and technology.

We are proud to announce for the first time in Pakistan a Doctoral Consortium which is being arranged for PhD candidates to share their innovative research and development efforts. This Consortium is designed as an intensive research development experience for PhD students, and therefore, they can present their research to the panel along with their specific research questions. The elite Consortium faculty will advise and provide guidance in order to further enhance or progress PhD student’s research.
